lyrics

Why are we afraid to die? Its so hard to say good bye. But its not good bye, its just so long, for now. I have learned how to cry and open up so I can fly home, home, sweet home.

“And we are not of this earth, its only been since our birth. We've got so far to go but we'll get there. Yeah we'll get there.”

We are limited by sense. I can see you on the fence but someday we all have to let go. I'm no longer scared to be. I have longed to be free. The only thing holding me back now is this body.

“And we are not of this earth, its only been since our birth. We've got so far to go but we'll get there. Yeah we'll get there.”

This body will soon decay and my soul will shout a big hooray as it bends both space and time to join you there. This life offers us a choice. How will you use your voice? Ain't it great to be part of such a choir?

“And we are not of this earth, its only been since our blessed birth. We've got so far to go but we're on our way. Yes, we're one our way.”

Soon I will close my eyes and take off this ugly disguise and join you in the great big ball of fire.
